Hi all

I am currently working on a project in which I have to make the double T- beam cross-section (see the image below). I have drawn the cross-section, but I am facing the problem with its axis orientation. I want its z-axis (local axis) to be in upward direction, however program automatically assumes y-axis in upward direction. Please let me know if anyone has solution to this problem. (Urgent reply will be highly appreciated)

Thus, in your model, your beam stiffness would be still behaving in the intended way.

Hi

I discovered the better solution for this problem. Not sure why this worked, but it worked. Earlier, I joined all the points by entering the co-ordinates, but I now I made and rectangular section with three rectangular openings. Please check out the small attached video link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gYBMX6_sLc.

Regards

Nitin Bansal
