Problem with User Section Definition

Hi all

I am currently working on a project in which I have to make the double T- beam cross-section (see the image below). I have drawn the cross-section, but I am facing the problem with its axis orientation. I want its z-axis (local axis) to be in upward direction, however program automatically assumes y-axis in upward direction. Please let me know if anyone has solution to this problem. (Urgent reply will be highly appreciated)

Hi @NNBL

By default, the user sections are saved with the strong Y axis horizontal.
Rotate the section 90 ° before starting the calculations

Hi @NNBL ,

In terms of analysis, if you rotate your beam elements gamma angle, would that be a workaround for you? Thus, in your model, your beam stiffness would be still behaving in the intended way.

I discovered the better solution for this problem. Not sure why this worked, but it worked. Earlier, I joined all the points by entering the co-ordinates, but I now I made and rectangular section with three rectangular openings.
