But I want it to perform the lateral torsional buckling check when required, I just don't want it to be performed when it is not required by the Eurocedes, and according to the demands, in this case it is not supposed to perform the lat. tors. buckling check, but still it does that.

Hi,

Robot always performs the lateral torsional buckling check even when it is not required to, and the ratio of the formula might be the critical one but it shouldn't. In this case as you can see in the picture, kcrit is 1 and lambda_rel is less than 0.75, according to the Eurocodes if these two relations are fullfilled it is not required to perform the lateral torsional buckling check. So why does robot do it? The bar type has been defined correctly, but regardless, the program shouldn't perform the lat. tor. bucling check in the first place. Any suggestion?

Hi @Anonymous

You can switch lateral buckling verification off. Modification will be saved after defining new label name

Hi @Anonymous

I have checked in code and I can see that

according to 6.3.3 (4) kcrit can be defied as 1 when lambda,rel<=0.75.

but I cannot see anything about neglecting 6.33 formula in this case.

It is true, my bad. I just assumed that if kcrit is "1" than it does not make much sense to make the check cause "1" in the verification formula for lat.tors.buck. would be useless, but yea nothing prevents Robot to do the check anyway.
