Move a node along a line

is there anyone can tell me how to move a node along a line , the line is not vertical and horizontal.

In this example node 4 will be moved 1.5m

it is possible to create a plane by 3 points, the x along to the bar, and to move the node according to the local coordinates

Both solution are good tricks to solve your issue, the one posted by @Stephane.kapetanovic is quicker and the one posted by @Simau give you the opportunity to use the new reference point for other moves....

I just use the divide tool(checking it to not divide the bar), to create a node in the position I want.

Then, if needed , just move the original node to this new position
