Hi,

Revit will try and give rebar of the same length and shape the identical reference but this can be broken into more manageable parts using the Partitions Tool - Structures Tab > Reinformcement Panel > Drop Down Arrow > Reinforcement Numbers

However, Varying rebar sets will get a different number if the numbering is set to "Number bars as a whole", in which case each bar in the set also gets a suffix.

You can specify this in Structure Tab > Reinforcement Panel > Drop down arrow > Reinforcement Settings > Varying Rebar Set > Numbering Method Settings

If you set "Number bars individually" each bar in the varying set is compared to all other bars in the project (of the same partition) and gets its number accordingly.

Is is possible to set the same rebar number to two groups of rebar? It seems like you can have the same rebar number only if the rebar group is not variable.
