Could you edit the Constrains of the rebar back to a point that wont change such as the Start Face or could be a reference line or similar

Ouch this is a pain, i cannot see in Revit with this shape any other way apart from creating one and arraying it and believe my i have tried.

The only alternative is the common used hack and draw the reinforcement as a square and use a something to cut the angled slab shape out but i struggling to find a way to do this.

I know there some third party adding out there which could probably get around this but at a cost!!

You are correct that wont work, the issue here is that the step down in the rebar shape does not adjust with the edges so whenever pinch the slab inwards it will always be uneven to the edges, stretching out will always work as it is still central to the increased area.

Hi @Ramin-AZ

The only way you could do this is by using free form rebar and an additional geometry element.

Steps:

Create a model in place element whose faces can be used to define the reinforcement. You can use blend for this. Make sure to use a category that can host rebar or check the "can host rebar" box in the properties for generic model

Place aligned distribution and select the 3 top faces plus a side face as the distribution path

Choose Workshop Instructions > Bend (this matches the bar geometry to a rebar shape and reports A, B, C)

Add 90 deg hook at start and end

Rotate one of the hooks 180 deg, to match shape M_06 (for this example it was hook at end)

After this you can adjust the model in place and the rebar will follow

Hide the model in place in all views where you don't need to see it
