Beams disappear from floor plans when steel connections are applied.

Hi,

When I apply a steel connection or a cope to my framing these elements disappear in my plan view.

How do i fix it ?

This used to occur if the connection did not work, and it could not be resolved.

If you delete the Connection does the Beam reappear?

There was also Autodesk KB Article on a similar issue;

No when I delete the connection it doesn't show back up.

What version of Revit are you using?

Have you installed all updates?

Do any of the Items in the Links Help?

What connection are you using?

Does it occur with ALL Connections?

I'm using Revit 2025 but haven't updated it yet.

The information in the links isn't very helpful.

I'm using the platform plate and the gable wall end plate.

Every connection I apply, even a simple cope in the Steel tab, causes the beams to disappear.

I'm using framing with model lines to visualize the beams. When I draw them, they appear correctly, but as soon as I add connections, they disappear.

I don't have much experience with structural applications in Revit. We're building simple homes, not large buildings, so we want to keep things as straightforward as possible.

Could it be a visibility issue between Architectural and Structural Templates?

Have you checked Visibility Graphics as Connections are turned off by default and have to have a Fine Level of Detail in the View

I am unsure of Framing with Model Lines?

check visibility of "Parts" as soon as you add a connection, framing is turned into a Part, which also means, it cannot be modified.

another thing to try is to edit the family and uncheck the show family pre-cut in plan views. It might help for this graphic issue as well.

When switching between templates, the visibility of the framing does not change.

Everything in Visibility Graphics is turned on.

By "framing with model lines," I mean drawing a vertical line to make the beam visible, with a parameter like cut height so you can control this.

When Parts are turned on, nothing changes in terms of visibility.

I have the exact same issue, tried all of the above as well.
