I am working on a school project that needs to convert from one existing architectural template to a structural model. The architectural template has unsuitable structural elements. On the other hand, an old structural template (sample that I need) has suitable structural elements types, dimensions, such as M Rectangular column, generic floor 150mm, basic wall generic-200mm. However, my existing architectural template does not have these elements.

So my question is:

How to transfer all structural elements (e.g. M rectangular column, basic wall generic, etc) to my architectural template? I have tried "Transfer Project Standards", but the old structural elements not appearing in my architectural template.

Please I need help.

Transfer Project Standards will only Transfer Structural System Families such as Floor and Walls etc. and not stand-alone families such as Columns and Beams

You could Copy and Paste between Templates/Projects

Copy Elements: Select the family instances and press Ctrl + C (or use the Copy tool).

Paste into Target Project: Switch to the target project and paste (Ctrl + V) into a similar view.

However, I recommend simply importing them from the Library Family Content from the Insert Tab

Then use the relevant Content

Alternatively use the Load Autodesk Family

You could do this then Save it as a Template for future use
