schedule column not able to group for a title

Can anyone help me out here, I am trying to revise and make our concrete beam schedules easier to work with and smarter. Does any one have any ideas as to why I can not get my columns to group so I can add my TOP STEEL and BOTTOM STEEL under a REINFORCING HEADER. The Group is greyed out. See picture attached.

Highlight the headers, not the columns.

I click the "c" and drag my mouse to the right and it highligths everything. How do I select just the header.

Click on Top Steel and drag to highlight it + Bottom Steel. Do not click on C, D, etc.

Never mind, I figured it out. I could not group them with the schedule all ready populated. So I just deleted my slab, and it worked. Remodeled my slab and there ya go. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction and getting me to think about it just slightly different.

Yep worked for me, Schedule needs to be blank, so you can add filter to ensure nothing gets picked up by the schedule then modify/ delete the dilter to suit final condition.
