Hello,

I'm modeling the steel structure of a curved staircase, and I would like to rotate a portion of it (between landings) vertically, while keeping all elements unchanged— no automatic adjustments to length or connections.
I've tried grouping the elements and also using linked Revit models, but I couldn't make it work.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

It will depend on if it is constrained to levels etc. you should to be able to rotate in an Elevation/Section as long as the workplane is set to this view?

Have you trued Mirroring instead then just moving it down or assigning an offset to the level?

Hello again,

Sorry for the late update, and thank you for your suggestions. They were helpful, but they didn’t fully meet what I needed.

In the end, I exported some relevant parts of my structure as .SAT files and then reimported them into the model. This allowed me to work with them as solids, so I could freely rotate and reposition them without triggering automatic adjustments.

My goal was to evaluate potential conflicts in case I need to disassemble an existing steel staircase and reinstall it in a different alignment within the building, comparing it to its current position.

Thanks again for your input !
