RST 2012 menus not displaying after RST 2014

Hello All

I am not sure if any one has had this problem pop up.

My employer just installed Revit Structure 2014. My computer currently has RST 2012, RST 2013. (I need them the previous versions for our clients as they do no wish to change).

Anyway, I have created a new project in RST 2012 for a client and I am noticing during certain commands especially the when modifying, certain options or selections are not showing up. It only shows up if I cycle through how the menus are displayed. Obviously that there is a problem with the software but I don't know how to fix it.

Hope someone can help. (anyone or autodesk support)

The latest version of Revit 2013 (UR3) contains a fix for this issue.

Follow the link that Darren provided for the download, or use the Communication Center within Revit (radar dish icon on the top-right toolbar.)

Thanks for the info, however I am having a problem. I tried check for updates within revit and I was only give updates 1 and 2 but when i tried to install them I got and error (see photo 1).

I clicked on the link and downloaded the UR3 but when I double click the file I am getting an error (see photo2).

My menus are non responsive and his preventing me from working. I was hoping either yourselfs or someone can tell me how to fix this.

All my software is legally licensed.

your probably running revit 2013 and not revit structure 2013 there is a difference

Thanks for the info, I thought since I was working in revit structure that the file i downloaded was for revit structure, well I thought they were the same. Anyway downloaded the other update and the programs runs smooth.

Note to all users

As Darren pointed out that there is a difference in the revit 2013 and revit structure 2013 software which I did not realize. So I would like to take the opportunity to warn or suggest that everyone make sure which version of revit you have installed on you computer either Revit 2013 or revit structure 2013. My last post indicated everything was running smooth, well that was short lived and the results I am getting are that the extensions no longer function or generate errors in the model, other weird errors such as when copying a footing for example, the footing would be copied then deleted by the program and the software freezing up plus some others and two instances where my model crashed and revit failed to open it as it could recongize it because it has become corrupted I am assuming so I am not sure if anyone has had this problem. Keep note I didn't not have any problem until i installed the latest update UR3.

While in the past i had installed the updates for revit structure 2013, i decided to go back and check my subscription and sure enough i downloaded and installed the updateds for revit structure 2013. I do not know why the update for revit structure 2013 did not want to install and the version for revit 2013 did. So something seems weird here.

Fortunately that I do have an older revit file of my project but unfortunately I have to do redo alot of work. With my computer at work acting up with the menus acting not like their suppost to, I am very hesitant in asking our IT department to install the update fearing the same problems will occur again or worse lose my model completely.

With my station at home, I am at a lost on how to fix this other than uninstalling and then reinstalling the software.

Any comments and suggestion welcomed.
