&lt;P&gt;With regards to the first issue, of placing the rebar inside the cover, you may use the "Edit Constraints" command to place it as such. &lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;I think your idea of grouping bars is very interested, so you should post it on the Revit Idea Station, so others can vote for it, too.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;For the symbols you have showed, I recommend you to explore the Revit apps specialized on delivering custom solutions for rebar detailing.&lt;/P&gt;
