there is a difference between a floor slab vs a foundation slab.

Although the element properties look the same, Revit recognizes the structural usage of a floor slab to be a "slab" and a foundation slab is recognized as a "foundation" or "slab on grade." This is for analytical purposes. Therefore, the floor slab does not contain length and width instance/reporting parameters. See attachments.
