Hello,

So I'm kinda new posting on here but our company is trying to figure a way out when you have a beam system callout annotation you are able to have the elevation callout. Currently it reads 16k3 @ 2'-6" but we want to add an elevation to the end of it but when we change or add a parameter to the text like elevation it only reads out the elevation from properties. We want it to read 16k3 @ 2'-6" (100'-2 1/2") not 16k @2'-6" (2 1/2") cause the parameters its pulling from just the properties of added to elevation not the actual elevation. I know you probably have to make a custom parameter but how do you do it I don't know exactly where to start or what to use. Please Help.

Thank you

Make sure you are referencing the right elevation base. i.e. the project base point vs. the Survey base point vs. Relative. It sounds like you are getting the relative elevation based of the associated level your plan view is on.

The paramters found in the beam system tag probably will not work. The elevation parameter is relavite to the level the beam system is on which is why you are getting 2 1/2". There is a Refence Level Elevation parameter that reports the Level the beam system is on. But this elevation is probably only referencing the project base point.

I would create a spot elevation instead of trying to fight the tag parameters.

Thank you for your posting.

I have tried to make some example that you are trying to achieve. Please refer to this:

By default, Elevation will be the relevant elevation to the referenced level. But you will be able to retreive the actual elevation by modifying the "Structural Beam System Tag" that you have used. If you just want the actual Elevation, you can delete the "Elevation" label.

Let me know if you have any questions on this. Hope this helps.

Okay quick question what if your properties doesn't give you the equation simbol. So how do you get that to show up in the edit label properties?
