Hi There,

I've change to a new company loaptop and this one has no standard Revit Families to use. Is there any way to get them without installing the software again? I'm working on Revit 2016.

Many thanks,

Sandra

@Anonymous

You have in incomplete download...you need to go to control panel and look for the Revit Content Library 2016 double click and follow on screen instructions to add contents

If the content library is not there to start with; would be best to contact your company's BIM Manager to reinstall the missing library

SEE LINK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS

Hello Sandra,

If you don't want to install any other content pack you just have to copy the families and templates from your old computer.

You can find them here for example:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2017\Libraries\US Metric

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2017\Family Templates\English

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2017\Templates\US Metric

In Revit options you can define the paths to these new folders as default.
