Good evening guys, my name is samuele and i am a student of civil engineering.

May i do a question?

Can i resolve one hyperstatic structure in revit structure?

I have encountred a difficulty: Revit structure don t ricognise the structure like a hyperstatic structure that i draw example the portal.

In the case i don t know how to undertand at revit that links between beam and coloumn are joints.

Revit resolve the structure to consider they how static structure, perhaps the analysis is wrong.

help me please

I'm not sure what do you mean by "resolve one hyperstatic structure"?
Are you using a structural analysis package to calculate it?

Do you want to chanage the multispan beam into a separate pinned beams?

You cannot split analytical beams.

You need to model it with simple beams spaning from one column to another.
Set appropriate release conditions at beams ends, they are pinned by default.

good afternoon , thak you for aswering at my question.

I must resolve a hyperstatic frame mixture of beam and coloumn for calculating the reactions at base , becouse i have to sizing the fondations.

Can revit resolved hyperstatic structure?

best regards

samuele

Revit itself does not perform static analysis.

You may transfer analytical model to an analysis software.

I can see you have Robot Structural Analysis installed. Use the Robot Structural Analysis Link command from Revit Analyze ribbon tab.

You may use Analyze in Clouds, if you have subscription and credits.

BTW, your analytical model seems unclear to me.

Why there are fixed supports (Boundary Condition) at the beam end nodes.

i'm using the analysis in clouds.
however the analysis is wrong becouse splite the structure in isostatic parts without studying the structure of the coplex that is hyperstatic.
Sorry if my english is not correct.
best regard
samuele

I guess that you used "gravity" analysis when running calculation in the clouds.

Gravity analysis is the load rake down method. It divides structure to isostatic parts and takes loads down to columns.

Use "static" analysis instead.
