Hatch Transparency Issue

I have an odd issue with the Transparency feature in Revit.

Here's what it looks like in Revit:

And here's what it looks like using BlueBeam (Or any other pdf viewer):

The grey hatch is supposed to be transparent but for some reason it isn't when viewing it on any pdf reader. What is a practical fix for this issue?

I did some testing and can't reproduce using Cute PDF and PDF Creator...is it just happening in this project?

@Revit_Whisperer : It seems to be the case. I've tried to create a smaller structure with the hatch and it seems to work. For the project above, I have a linked architectural Revit file. Would the linked file cause the problem? What would you suggest in this case?

@ennujozlagam : I've tried your idea, but the issue still persists for that project.

I have seen this happen before due to some soft of corruption in the file. If you haven't already tried, I would run an audit on the file and save it with a new name as a test to see if the issue persists in that file...I have a feeling it will =(, but it doesn't hurt to try!

I don't know how far along you are in your project (likely too far to make this a viable option). But copy and paste into a new project, or link and bind...whichever makes the most sense (I would probably go link and bind for the entire project). If you want to just test a portion then copy paste to see if the issue follows you into the new project.

You might also try using transfer project standards from a project or template that is working properly. Just select Fill Patterns to transfer in.

I've tired the first option and unfortunately that didn't work. As for the 2nd option, I don't think it would be feasible at this stage in the project cycle as time is quite critical. However it is something I shall consider for another project. I would like it if Autodesk can address this issue as a fix asap.

Hi vanboon,

I did not find a solution nor have I been informed of a solution to my issue. I was hoping that the Revit Autodesk team would be able to chime in on this.
