you can actually use revit viewer which comes with the install of Revit

its an icon in your start menu

How are your engineers reviewing RVT files?

What i'd like to know is what 'free' rvt viewers are available and best recommended, if not available which way do you typically exchange information for viewing and reviewing by Engineers after or while rvt model are being created?

Chris.

Thanks,

I guess this requires a full install of Revit? If it does it's not what I'm looking for. I though NW freedom might be the answer but it doesn't want to open an NWC file....

Chris

We use design review which is free. We can export 3d and all the sheets. Engineers can rotate and cut through the 3d model as they like. Then they can do markups on the sheets in the model and we import them back into revit for our editing process.

Thanks Tina,

That seems like the most relevant answer to my query at present. My only gripe is it's a snapshot of the model (in time) and that the Engineer is not looking at a 'live' instance of the model.

Chris.
