Hello, I have a problem with the new steel connection tool in Revit 2017, when I go to run the new connection tool it shows none of the connection types in the drop down box and also the modify tool is greyed out. After looking into it further, it seems that the connections only work with certified families which is a problem as we have all our beam and columns linked to our schedules for tonnages etc.. This is stupid because the beams and columns we use (Corus Advance) are part of the Revit library so why are these not certified families so that we can use the connection tool ?

Does this mean that I will have to update all of our schedules to suit a certified family ?

Kieran
