hello guys,

Im working right now on a Family that includes both a structural column and a structural fondation, the concept is to have the column base edge 50 cm dip in the concrete foundation, but the attachment with the column base is always activated, is there any way to stop this auto-attachment thing?

thanks in advance

please check the included screenshots

Alas, I'd also like to be able to force Revit not to do things automatically on some occasions.

The only thing I can suggest is to model that foundation pier as a column so you can have the two columns overlap. For me, that would also require re-working my schedules to suit, but that is just a small amount of work in my opinion, so that's how I would solve it.

I found another solution, by adding two foundations, one will attach itself to the column base, the another is under control as Long as the first is there. after alignning the one to stay and moving it to the desired Point, the first (help element) can be removed and the seconed will stay as a good Boy.

Problem solved
