is it possible to create new Family Category and parameters?

I want to add structure floor family category.

so that we can do work easily. And also we can calculate quantity of this category separate.

foundation category is there...so it is possible to add floor category?

Not sure what and how you exactly try to do.

-You can not create new family categories, they are hard coded

-Inside loadable families you can create new sub-categories.

-You can add (project)parameters to families

-Using an existing or a new shared/project parameter filled with data can be used to filter your objects and allow for quantification in your schedule
