Area reinforcement annotation

Hi all,

Revit 2018. Revit area tag symbols for diameter and spacing. Where I can change it. It must show diameter sign but show's (U). Used "parameter for tagging "Bottom/Interior minor".

you can create shared parameter for bar diameter and spacing, then you can create tag for that

I need Bar diameter + spacing + location indicator (B1(Major bottom), B2 (Minor bottom), etc.).

In structural area parameter tag are complex parametrs. Only spacing I could get seperatly. Bar diameter and location indicator can't find.

I want to do automated tasks. Place reinforcement area symbol together with tag.

You need to go to rebar family and change the bar diameter to shared parameter (that means you will create bar diameter parameter as shared where you can find it while you are creating you tag)

If you want that then you may have to remove the Area System to give you access to tag them the way you want..

This is a late response, so hopefully you've already found a solution.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, all you need to do to change the bar size designation is edit the Rebar type names to the format you want. Find "Rebar Bar" in the Project Browser and edit the type names. "Project Browser-Families-Structural Rebar-Rebar Bar" That should populate correctly in all reinforcing tags.

Hello, I am new to revit detailing, but how do you this? I mean removing the area system so I can tag it in our format?
