Hello,

I've tried to create warren truss family and it worked well until I entered different offset at the end of the truss. Then I enter offset, bottom chord lengthens. And I can't find a way to fix it. I thought maybe I don't know how to create family, so I found such family in UK library, but it works the same way:

how do you workarround this?

I think it's a bug, but I think it's been there for 100 years, so either nobody cares or I just don't find the right button to fix it?

Try to modify the family and lock the bottom chord into a vertical reference(see image below)

your image is not from family, but from model view and it's horizontal, so it actually doesn't say anything to me.

in my opinion bottom chord line is locked by default in this family.

have you tried that before suggesting it?

in my opinion the best way is to create these as a group in model and maybe save them after as a group into separate file as well (just in case). I had exactly same issues with this. I even tried to remove the bottom chord from the family so that I would have at least top and diagonals and model btm chord separately, but as soon as you set incline the bottom chord re-appears again (this happens in all version for Revit, incl 2018).

Hello @valensas_balsevicius2

Yup I have tried it.

In some cases, the bottom chord line is locked by default in the reference plane only horizontally.

So, In my opinion you have to locked the end of bottom chord line in the intersection of two reference line.

Sorry I've been busy in the past few days, anyway, I can't see your family in WeTransfer, im here at my office and we had a limited access in some website.

could upload the family here if you don't mind.

Thanks
