Copying Foundations

I created a pier/spread footing combination and reinforced it per our design. I now want to copy this foundation to other locations in the model but when I select everything and select move, give it a distance and direction, when the copy appears I get the error "Rebar is placed completely outside of its host." And I noticed that at least one side of the new pier is missing. What am I doing wrong? I tried grouping the concrete and rebar but got the error "A structural element will be detached from grid(s) due to inconsistent group membership." I have no idea what I need to do to copy this foundation without errors.

Again I'm new to Revit so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Just the reinforcing? Im thinking I should include the concrete structures along with the rebar.

At this point we are just learning to use the software on a completed project and when we do use it for a project we will probably only reinforce one foundation of each type to be used for detailing. At a later date we may try to reinforce all foundations so that we can get rebar quantities for estimating purposes.

What I did in my lates project was to group reinforcement only and then copy it to foundations that I copied separately in advance. It worked well and now when I have to change something in reinforcement, I'm editing the group and have all changes reflected to every foundation with reinforcement group.

So you "GROUPED" them instead of making them an "ASSEMBLY"? I haven't been able to really tell the difference between the two and/or when to use one over the other. We do a lot of repetitive work (columns, foundations, trusses, etc...) so knowing which is appropriate for which situation would help a lot.

I haven't used assembly in my projects yet. That's why I can only say that grouping does it work well.
