topic Drawing Details in Revit Structure Forum

We are new to Revit in our office. I saw the guys using AutoCAD to draw details and copy them into Revit. They are having issues efficiently detailing in Revit. Using the connection option seems to be bee way too much since we are not creating fab drawings. Is there a way to draw 2d over the top of the model to create details?

Hello,

the detail items can be loaded to your drafting view. and place the connection component (detail items)

on the structural framing components (structural model) in your drafting view.

Hope it helps.

Thank you.

Create detail call-outs, open the detail views, set scale, and draft over it using detail components, filled/masking regions, detail lines, etc... It's normal practice.
