The Graphic schedule is extremely limited. We ended up creating a tag that you attach to the columns that show in the graphic column schedule. It took us over 5 years to perfect it and still tweaking it. We even had to create a special family to make it work. Unfortunately, that is proprietary and I don't think our company would share it. You can however, create a quantity or material take-off schedule and try to extract more information from there to include in the take of or material schedule. I'll give you a hint though. You can TAG items in the graphic schedule. You can create a custom tag that has more parameters to read from the column in the schedule. As far as Dynamo I looked into a few years back. The fact that I haven't looked back into it, I must have gotten nowhere.

What is the tolerance for square columns to the grid lines in Revit? For example; say I have a 600mmx600mm concrete column that requires a small offset of say 75mm up and 100mm left. All I know now is that as long as that "square" falls within the grid intersection, no offset will be displayed in the graphic column schedule. How do I set up Revit to read this small offset even though the column touches the grid lines? AND, is this a parameter that can be extracted from Revit to perhaps put in a different type of schedule or a specialty tag?

Yes, I know that if you move the column out of the grid locations to the blue one you have highlighted will automatically do so in the graphic column schedule. What the problem is that what if that hollow column you show at the grid intersection is slightly offset, but still crosses the grid lines? Can I get the column to display that it is offset? Or will it just show the ACTUAL grid location in the schedule? See attachment.

it will only give you the grid where the column is ,

once the column is not touch the grid the offset appears in that parameter

You could create an offset column family. Then as long as you were located on the family center it would report correctly.

I don't think you can "out of the box" You might have to add manually either by dimensioning on the plan or using in the column properties and parameter that is "dead" to manually add the offset. I know you can do in Dynamo, but it's a almost as steep a learning curve as Revit is. The only other way I can think of is to create a parameter in the column family that gives the offset of the coarse view symbol to the work planes using a formula to figure out what it is based on the actual column size. But very limited as you probably can't give which direction the offset is. That would have to be noted manually. i.e. 150mm N, S, E or W. I'm going to try this and see what I can come up with. Knowing Revit it'll work for some, but then not work for others.
