hello every one

i have this dome that i tried to add reinforcement to

but every time i couldn`t get good results

any ideas on how to add dome reinforcement ??

if you use revit 2018 last release, there is a tool called free form rebar,

or you can make a section in this dome and go to section and sketch a rebar then go to plan and make an round array

As @A_MAQ said you can use free form rebar for modelling the dome reinforcement.

I would recommend splitting the model into "slices" of 45-60 degrees (max 90), depending on the shape of the dome, to get the best result using free form rebar.

Here's an example of two such slices of 45 and 60 degrees.

The vertical bars start from the left /right faces, while the horizontal bars start from the Top / bottom faces.

You can also extend the horizontal bars with respect to the bar start/end faces by editing the bar constraints. This way you get the bar overlap.
