GROUPS VS. ASSEMBLIES

Hello Everybody,

I work in the drafting industry for commercial modular projects. I usually lead the walls department. I have projects that have massive amounts of repeats but also some very unique sections. As you can maybe tell, copying throughout the floor plans/model is important. The question here is which is better for me to use, groups or assemblies, when building the walls for a very large project? What are the main differences between groups and assemblies? I am partial to groups because they seem to copy easier, but assemblies are nice because they create their own views and are easy to organize. Any advice or opinion welcome.

Groups are for elements that should work together, while assemblies help track and schedule a collection of elements as a single entity.

Propagating changes between groups is easier, but if you need specific views in the local coordinate system of one or more elements, then assemblies are the way to go.

Assemblies can propagate changes, by selecting the identical ones you need to change and switching the type (from the type selector drop-down)

I used to use group for some thing will repeated but assemble used for Shop drawing or detailed but I have not use it before
