Hi @Anonymous

Indeed, if the beam is cutting from the column, the face resulting from the cut is a type of face that has no cover.

A similar behavior can occur for a column cut by the floor.

This is a current limitation where rebar cannot properly constrain to a face resulting from a cut.

What you can do is create a detail section through the column and place rebar in that view

HI everyone!

So my problem is the following. I have an instance of a column that is intersected by a concrete beam at the level above and there is a piece of concrete wall liyng on top of that beam. The thing is that when I try to add a rebar to the column it won't allow me to do so. I would probably say that this has something to do with the cover of the column as it doesn't show up either. I've attached the video below so you can see there is an identical column next to it and it can host rebar actually.

If you know whay may have caused this problem please share the solution. Thaks in advance.

Thank you Ovidiu for not skipping my question as I've waited a long time for the solution to appear. Unfortunately Autodesk has a lot to fix in Revits structure section. I myself have a quite a long list of bugs and drawbacks for reinforcement only. So I guess the only way for now is to implement custom plugins using Revit API (which is itself a whole science) or write Dynamo/Python scripts which I do with a variable success.
