Varying Rebar sets - Presentation

I have a problem with the presentation of varying rebar sets.

When in plan view you can choose "show first and last", "middle" or "select".

Seems to be this is only the case when the bar was drawn in the correct plane.

Or am I doing something wrong here ?

Figure 1 is the normal situation.

Figure 2 is a varying rebar set, drawn in another plane (I think) and impossible to select one bar for presentation.

Figure 3 is a 3d view (the vertical bars are ok but the horizontal ones are not).

Sorry for such a late response. Now what I see is that you want horizontal varying set of U-shapes to be displayed with a single bar in plan view is that right? If so I guess it's rather impossible. This is only my surmise though. Thing is that you try to project the instance that is parallel to your plan view. So I guess in this case it's not even foreseen to be working at all. You could probably set the view range so that only first bar is visible.
