Can't create group

I can't create group and also can't add to any other group, can u please suggest to fix this issue

can u please share your experience if u are facing this kind of issue ??

this usually happens, like the message says, when there is something in your selection that revit wont let be grouped together. if you make your selection of elements you want to group, and select the Filter tool, what categories of elements show up? there may be something that you need to unselect for the group to be made.

this is an example of a quick selection in my current model.

but i didn't add any tags with that group, i was added only structural element only

mine was simply an example. the message said, "Revit does not allow the grouping of some of the selected elements". which means there is something selected Revit doesn't like.

Start by looking at the different categories in the selection filter. Is there only one category, or multiple? if multiple you may need to uncheck categories and retry until you find the one that is causing the issue. in my case i had text and views, you may have something else listed. if you would like, post a screen capture of your selection and the Filter options.

Actually as i said previous i didnt add any tag for that steel beam.

After all trouble shooting i didnt get any solution, but i delete that beam and add same beam there after that new beam was added to that group without any warning , i dont know how its work for new beam and not for old beam

The steel beam, had you used any of the elements from the Steel tab, such as connections?

If you use any fucntions from the steel tab the beam changes to a "Steel fabrication format" when this happens certain Revit fuctions like grouping doesnt work, see article below
