Can't copy Rebar beetween two elements

Hi guys, I would like to ask you how do you copy rebar beetwen the same concrete elements. When I use usual copy tool, Revit has difficulty in finding host memeber. There is an error, warning that "cant find host memeber" . How do you copy it ? 🙂

I have Revit 2020.

I think the idea is NOT to copy rebar from host element to host element. Placing rebar in each host is preferred.

you even hinted at the issue - host element. by copying rebar out of the host it will have difficulty in finding the new host. I have had some success in copying rebar elements in the past, but have since stopped with this.

Select rebar

Copy

Move selected rebars to new host

Get error "cant find host member"

Pick new host (button)

Adjust cover when needed

Yes, but very often there is a situation where many elements are reinforced the same way. So what is the best practice ? Coping rebar with host memebers after deleting existing ones ( already modeled without reinforcement ) ?
