This family has an issue: "The shapes for medium and fine detail levels of connected element are inconsistent"

see attached picture... those flange's lines should overlap.

We know about it and it will be solved soon.

Till then, you can:

1. Adjust M-C-Channel-Profile-Medium shape so it match the Fine shape

2. Use another family

I see your families are US metric... the "old" ones... you can try the "new" ones from AISC 14.1 folder.

(I'm also attaching it for 2020 release file format)

Back to your case...

Your family don`t have Section shape defined

- open your family

- go to Family Category and Parameters dialog

- set the Section Shape to C Profile with Lips

(see clips pic)

This is not enough... you need to also define its geometrical parameters for each type.

There are families that might be already defined to work with steel fabrication workflow that suites your needs, but I need to search for them.
