Modeling Piled Raft Foundation

Hello all,

I have modelled the raft foundation in my structure but could not find any Pile family without cap so that I can fix it below raft foundation of mine. I followed this post on the forum but seems like the Pile without cap posted here is not working on my side: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-structure-forum/how-to-model-raft-rests-on-piles/m-p/6701343 ..

Please let me know if there is a way to create pile without cap and fix it to raft footing.

Can you share some image what kind of pile geometry you need?

If you are using just a typical straight steel pile. Just use one of the similar steel column family's. HSS or Pipe family. You will then likely only need change it's type category to foundation and save it under a revised name.

Otherwise I suggest a save-as and disassembling the pile cap family. If you need a specific family, I'm sure myself or one of us can help.

For now, I just used the normal Pipe Family since I am just practicing modeling but would love to know more about how family can be created. I really want to learn how to draw RCC pile without cap on raft foundation.
