@semi : That's true, but the two different plug-ins have not the same features. You should even use both: Naviate REX is for reinforcement generation, SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing is for detailing, management and list creation.

Correct, but I don't think Sofistik adds up to saving workflow compared to genuine Revit. It's totally not worth the price. You can perfectly tag in Revit whatever Sofistik is trying to Tag (you will always have to adjust it manually).

The only thing I can think of when sofistik comes in handy is when using very complex geometry, but that's it.

Exporting BBS with sofistik is also not correct, because it doesn't add up for rebar lengths longer than stock length.

That's not quite true... There's a setting for stock length when using running length option: https://www.sofistik.de/documentation/2021/en/reinforcement_detailing/settings_dialog.html?highlight=stock You also have the possibility to split rebars by desired stock length an lap length https://www.sofistik.de/documentation/2021/en/reinforcement_detailing/cmdref/modify/split_rebars.html?highlight=stock
Did you check that out already?

I know, but you can only put a % to the running length. Our country uses 50xØ overlap length, which you cant pick in the settings.

And yes you can split rebars, but then in the BBS it only shows u a rebar 12m, but it's never linked to the other split rebar + you have to make several sections to show all the split rebars.

Our workflow is much simpler: we model the rebar fully with a length longer than stock length and then we place a formula in our BBS so it includes the overlap length. Based on this fact we make a shape image which is split up.

Our bending schedule looks like this:

It depends on what you mean by "design reinforcement".

If you need to just model the 3D reinforcement Naviate REX works really easy for standard concrete elements (columns, walls, beams, foundations). If you want to model rebars in complicated ways, you can try native Revit or Sofistik Rebar detailing.

If you want to detail and produce drawings, you can try Sofistik Rebar Detailing or Graitec Powerpack for Revit.

If you want to import rebar areas from external structural analysis software like Autodesk RSA, Graitec Design or Sofistik Design, you can use any of it.

The most complete workflow i have seen can be acquired by using Sofistik 2021 structural analysis module INSIDE Revit interface (!!!), then model and detail rebars with Sofistik rebar Detailing module. Native Revit is more suitable for american users, Sofistik is more suited for european users (franco-german style) (specific labels, symbols, quantity report formats, etc)
