How to control the elevation on the edges of a structural beam?

Hello.

I'm looking for a way to specify the elevation of the edges on the superior face of a structural beam.

I don't think there is a way to do it using revit commands, I think it has to be a costumizable family, but I'm not sure how to do it.

The elevation of the edges on the right side of the beam must be at the same elevation of the floor:

Any help? (Can't use model-in-place btw).

You can with Cross-Section Rotation rotate the beam completly, i don't believe you can twist the beam

Unfortunately that doesn't solve the issue. I don't want to rotate the beam, just to control the elevation on its edges (which you can do by modifying a floor), while keeping the beam's bottom surface in the same place (which you can also do on a floor by checking "variable" in the parameters).

I it is a beam (steel?)then you must create your own family

if it is concrete you can use floor as work around.

i would model the floor over the beam and join the beam to the underside of the floor

Hi,
you can use the By face option in 3d view, then select the left or right option, you can easily cut the Structural framing
