Automatic steel connections not visible with 'Fine' detail level override.

Hello everyone,

I am working with a simple portal frame, and I am using the automatic Revit steel connection tool.

The connections (and all of their subcomponents) are visible in views where 'fine' detail level is selected for the whole view. However, if I am on a view set to 'medium' and I override the structural connections category in the visibility/graphics panel to 'fine', the connections do not become visible. There are no filters regarding structural connections.

It is necessary for me to use 'medium' detail level on these specific plans, but would like to see the connection as well.

Is there any solution to that?

Plan view on fine, with all object visibility turned on (this is what I am aiming for as display):

Yes, this configuration would be ideal for the plans. I am just not able to see the connections as you do. I can select them, but not see them.

This is strange. This is what I see instead on the same plan. I can even select the connection and different subcomponents from it but not see it. It is also not visible when printing.

This may be related to the Revit version. I am using the 2021 version.

After a quick investigation and testing the model in 2020 and 2021, I can conclude that this is in fact the case. Revit 2019 and 2020 gave me the same result, and 2021 displays the geometry as expected. Apparently, Revit 2019 and 2020 have some troubles with rendering overridden graphics of structural connections, and, to my surprise, also cut patterns of said connections. Thank you for pointing the versioning issue out, and helping figure out where to look.
