Here's a demo of the issue.

I copied/pasted the lines but, trust me, even if I draw them by hand, it doesn't make any difference.

I moved a point randomly, but moving a line may or may not correct the issue.

Seems to be random.

I attached also the Revit file.

The structural opening is in there at the exact same location that you see in the video.

Video (Can't insert Screencast... don't know why right now... anyway):
https://autode.sk/30uYfR7

Hi @Antony.Roy this issue is probably caused by the opening boundary location, it has to be inside or aligned with the boundary of the structural framing instance. I could do it both ways, inside and aligned, and works for me (take a look at the screen captures attached):

I have not used that tool yet, but if the above does not work on all occasions then the issue is similar to one that occurs sometimes when cutting geometry with voids.

The complexity of cutting in 3d means that on rare occasions the elements just align in such a way that the math required for the cut just can not be computed by the system. Usually adjusting the cutting element a tiny bit (as you have done) is the best solution to this type of problem. I wrote an api that generates complex steel grating over any floor regardless of the floor profile, with lots of pipes and openings in a foor the final cut will sometime fail, if this occurs it will bump the grating family 1/128" in x direction and attempts to cut again, then y direction, this repeats until successful. Usually works after only one bump though.

Cut tools sometimes don't work properly with sloped and curved surfaces, there is always that locations where the cut is cutting the element in a way that's not accepted by Revit.

To reach the required result, you need to make two cuts as per below photo. the blue cut is using the small sloped line from your model, while the red cut, extend the slope a bit further.

I made it in attached file but in Revit 2021 version as I don't have 2020 installed. (check attached)
