Hi I'm having the same problem in that my connections are rotating. I must be missing something from your above solution. All of my tube plate bracing connections are rotated.

Hello,

I have an issue where structural connections rotate randomly by 90 degrees. The connection type is "Tube plate bracing". I want the alignment/orientation of the connection to be that of the connection that can be seen in the top right corner (blue circle) of the image. I have no idea what is causing this issue or how to resolve it. Does anyoen know how to resolve this issue? All help is appreciated.

Best regards

Maybe this solution comes too late but I believe it can help future cases. I managed to solve the same issue going into an elevation view, then deleting the existing tube connections and inverting the ends of the horizontal elements. Dragging the handling dot to the opposite side so the left end was the right. Did an extend to the CL. of the vertical elements and placed the connections again. All worked like a charm. Hope this helps.

Try drawing a dummy Reference Plane vertically in the orientation of the required connection direction and setting this as you workplane - does this have any influence?

Try using a Tube Angle Braking then delete and then use the Tube Plate Bracing

Strange one sometimes it works other it doesn't?

The alternative is to use the Tube Connection with Sandwich Plate and remove the Tab and edit accordingly

As you can see in this connection it allows you to Orient the connection which the Tube Plate Bracing needs
