Curved Sloped Floor Analytical model possible?!!!

Hi Everyone,

I know it is possible to create a straight sloped floor (using the "Slope Arrow") to have its analytical model perfectly aligned with it. However, if I found no way to have a curved sloped floor (eg. a curved stair floor or parking ramp) and its analytical model aligned with it!!

Obs.: I used "Modify Sub Elements" tool to create a curved, ramped floor.

Any ideas or work around please?

I need this for the analysis purposes, just in case if someone wonders why I do bother about the analytical model!!!

You can't curve analytical floor surface as far as I'm aware but you could approximate perhaps with a number of ramped facets following the curve.

Might be easier to construct such in Robot directly using dwg frame work etc.

Sure, I could model the curved ramp in Robot, but I am just hoping to see if anyone has found a solution to this.

Well it seems you can use facets otherwise surface is projected to flat surface such as ref plane or level.

@RPTHOMAS108 Very good your example! but in my case I am talking about a curved floor, spiral type. I don't think I can apply your suggested method to a spiral floor?!

Yes it doesn't lend itself to that.

Theoretically I suppose since you can split into triangles it could be possible but there are probably easier ways outside of Revit.

When you use a slope arrow the surface follows the slab, when you use shape editor the surface remains where it was before the edit.

@RPTHOMAS108 Its true! I am thinking of modelling these kind of analytical elements directly inside the Robot. But as I said before I was just hoping maybe there could be a way or trick inside the Revit to solve this issue and make it possible!!

Well, since Revit and Robot can link directly, it should have been possible to do this with ease directly inside the Revit!!!
