Typical column schedule

I'm trying to build a typical column schedule like we had in the days before BIM that still takes advantage of the advantages of BIM. I'd like the schedule to show our typical column configurations (C1 = (2) 2x4, C2 = (3) 2x4, etc), and then be able to add project specific columns at the end (C12 = HSS 4x4x1/4)

I've figured out that I can use Type Mark parameters to schedule the columns the way I want, but they only show up in the schedule if I actually have one placed in the model. So my schedule only shows C1, C4, C6, which looks strange.

Is there a way to get the schedule to show all of the columns that have a Type Mark assigned, regardless of whether it has been placed in the model? I don't want to model them off in space somewhere (even if I hide them), because things like that always have a way of showing up in a view when you don't expect it - and you don't see it until you've sent the completed drawing to the client...

Thanks!

Place those columns in a future Mock-up phase, or a Design option that is only visible for the schedule.

Good thought, thanks! The problem is that phases often aren't set up well in some of the architectural models we link in as backgrounds. We typically have our views set to "show all" to get everything to show up. I'm not up to speed on the specifics, but I think this has been particularly problematic with IFC files. I'm not as familiar with design options, so I'll have to look into that.

I use a similar strategy to @ToanDN, except I create a past phase. In this phase, elements are created AND demolished, therefore they will not be visible when selecting "show all" with a future phase active.

That is the reason I choose a future phase instead of a past phase. Elements in the future phase never show in any of your views and schedules unless you deliberately change the phasing of those.
