Revit 2026 missing connections

Hello, i've modeled the following connection on Revit 2025 using the tertiary plate. Im not sure weather this is the best connection template for a cold formed rafter, but it was the only i managed to get it to work at the time.

This week i tried to model the same connection on a project that was done in Revit 2026 but i quickly noticed that the connection Single Tertiary Plate was missing , as well as some others. I want to assume that this is because the missing connections could be done using a different one? But which one would it be if anyone knows?

I made a custom connection as a workaround but that is not optimal at all as you can imagine.

I have just compared my 2025 v 2026 connection list and it appears to be identical on quick glance and includes the Single Tertiary Plate.

@jay_colc This is weird. When i open my connection vault i dont even have the selected category you have, only purlins & cold rolled which dont work when i try to make them into rafters. Which version are you on? Im on 26.0.4.409, 20250227_1515(x64) and i havent done the 2026.0.1 update yet. Thats the only thing i can think of that would explain that.

Yes, I have updated 2026.0.1 but looked at the release notes and not seen anything specific for this?

The only thing I can think is it may be region specific and the naming convention has changed somewhat? This is my list and I have a U.K. regional install

@jay_colc How would i check that and perhaps find the UK region installation? The connections i have atm do not work for that particular case. I assume you are not referring to the libraries you get from here https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/tsarticles/ts/24e0wvcXEokcfVbvUZtezv.html

Mine just come from the Standard installation of U.K. regional content as per the link your provided.

I would take a look at this KB article and reinstall them back in.

Hey @jay_colc , i followed this and it seems that the en-US data has the "purlins and cold rolled" while the EN-UK dataset has the "tertiary and cold rolled". Is there a way to change those? Or even better, have both of them in the same project. Im working on a template and want to have the en-uk one.

Hi This is more System Install Specific and based on the region so you would need to reinstall using that region and no I do not think you can have both as they are not add-ins as such. Personally I would just keep this the way it is or reinstall with the correct region.

These are instruction on how to force Steel Connection in so may assist you?

To populate the steel connections you do the following:

Click right mouse on the Revit icon and verify the language in which you installed the product.

2. Go in C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit Steel Connections 20XX\[en-US] if it is installed in English US.

If Revit is installed in another language, go into the corresponding folder (e.g. [fr-FR], [en-UK], etc.)

3. When the Connection Settings button is pressed in Revit, the .zip archive should get unzipped automatically. See the difference between my default UK install and the US version

To modify that folder: Click right mouse on the .zip archive and unzip it in that location manually.
After this step, all MDF databases should be in that folder.

4. Open Revit and then click Connection Settings. There should be some LDF keys created automatically. This means that the databases are accessed.
