Hi

I have a recurrent problem in horizontally alignment of columns between floors.

When the ANLT column of upper floor moves to align with a wall, the ANL columns of floors below don't follow, although they are within the tolerance for automatic adjustment.

Also, i cannot align manually the columns, i only have the option to move both the upper an bottom nodes.

I don´'t want to use analytical links, i just want to align the columns in all floors.

Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks

we have the same problem with our columns when we start modeling them with walls close by. Unfortunately what we have had to do is manually select the column ANLT and move it to align with the one below. This is not to common of an occurrence for us, so we still do it manually. But we are looking at creating a Dynamo script to do this for us.

Thank you for your feedback.

For the moment, i see that the automatic alignment of revit doesn't work well with the vertical elements (walls and columns) between floors.

My structural models are always complicated in terms of lots of walls and discontinuities from floor to floor.

The method i found the most accurate, although some time consuming, is to force all walls and columns to project mode. I create grids in all walls and columns from scratch. When i create the walls and columns switch to projection to that grid (or reference plane created only for this modeling).

Perhaps someone in the forum have other ways of getting accurate anlt models for design in robot.
