How to calculate shuttering area for the different members of a building

Need to calculate the shuttering area for beams, columns, slab.

For beam the contact area is on 3 sides - bottom + 2 sides;

For columns the contact area is on all 4 sides

For slabs the contact area is the base and the edges.

How to go about it....

Calculated values based on the Beam and Column areas. you could create some Paramaters also for the Shuttering Values and then multiply them as required

I tried a turnaround to find shuttering area to 1 face of the 600x1200x3000 column:

I applied a Model-In-Place (Temporary Structures) of 12mm thickness to the 1200x3000 face.
Applied Mark & in both Material Takeoff & Quanatity/Schedule selected fields - Mark & Volume
Planning to create a Formula Field named "Shuttering Area" with the intention to divide the material volume by Thickness in order to get area

Area x Thickness = Volume

But my plan is not working

Volume is worked correctly : 1.2 x 3 x 0.012 = 0.0432 cubic metre

Can you guide pls.....

You need to divide the Volume by the Thickness to get an area - I added a new Parameter called thickness

I then created an Calculated Parameter - Area

I then edited the Formatting for Thickness and Area to change the Decimal Places

Then Types in a Thickness value in the Schedule

1.2m * 3m = 3.6m
