How i can filter pipe from family for Schedule?

This my family.

This pipe in family.

I want to filter pipe size in Schedule.

How i can ? Pls Help Thank.

Depends on what you want to accomplish.

But if you want to schedule different data from these nested families you will have to make those nested families shared.

In your case you would have to open the Pipe_Not_Shared family and set it to shared.

Then load it back into the host family. Then you can schedule those pipes.

When loading that truss family into the project you can also see that the shared nested family will show up in your project.

Other option would be to add shared parameter(s) in your host family and add relevant data relating to those pipes in your host family and then scheule those.

Might have to do with how you loaded family into project.

And it might have to do with the use of parameters type based vs instance based.

There seems to be some issues with constraining nested structural framing families.

I already give same options in my previous post (just using parameters in the host with relevant data).

Other possible options is to make a truss family. then you can use your pipe family as chords and webs and will be able to schedule them (see attached).
