Multiple component schedule

I'm trying to make a schedule view that incorporates multiple kinds of components in the ventilation systems that we work with. So far, I have managed to make schedules for a single kind of component (i.e. air terminals och duct accessories), but I wonder if it is possible to add multiple kinds in the same schedule, since this is the format that we use when calculating and purchasing those very components to be sent to the construction site.

You can have a multicategory schedule but it very much limits the parameters (fields) which you can include.

Personally I found it easier/better to just create separate schedules for ducts, duct fittings, duct accessories and mechanical equipment.

Yes, that was my personal experience as well. Unless Revit gets an update on this topic, it seems like my colleagues at the construction site might need to check multiple lists instead.

You could export the schedules to spreadsheets and merge them.

An addon like DiRoots Sheetlink (free) can help with that by combining several schedules into one spreadsheet in a couple of clicks.
