Are you doing anything to differentiate the underground pipe from above ground, i.e. a different system type?

Both of the methods mentioned in that other thread are too universal for my workflow.

The object styles method will assign the line type to all pipes.

The system graphic overrides get applied to any object on the system, not just pipes.

I would use a different system type for the underground piping and apply a linetype with a filter in the V/G overrides.

This is the method I that worked best for the situation I have. I duplicated the system type and added underground to the name. Thanks everyone for the helpful info.

Hello,

In View Range, if you set View Depth to a value larger than the pipe negative elevation.

Then in Line Styles, select te desired representation of the pipes in negative elevation.

Then you get this.
