The schedule editor seems to be straight forward. check load summary in general settings, and only connected loads in Loads summary

but it shows me as many rows in the real schedule as it shows in the schedule editor. I couldn't find some other setting that would change this.

i saw in template options there is a way to show connected loads that seems to total up the classified loads:

but in the schedule editor it seems I would have to add each potential field of all potential classifications:

since I would add text to say what load it is, that still would show up.

Is there any way to automate that so it automatically populates those parameters? Like if I have a crane load added, it automatically will show that even when I didn't manually select crane load?

And it seems in a family I can arbitrarily create and name categories and edit demand parameters. But this also can be set in the Electrical settings. Which one will be used or what is the best strategy? and how do I import those classifications and demand rules into the family?

I'm not sure what you have done to get all those blank lines. I usually have the schedule show "Only Loads that are Connected" and then it doesn't show a bunch of rows with "0's".

I still have the same issue. but I also came across this issue that the total load is wrong (in my case 10 kVA shown as opposed to 23 kVA!!!).

Maybe something is just screwed up in Revit.

Are you assigning the Load Classification/Demand Factor to the connector in the families? The preloaded list usually includes all of the ones defined in the project and should include them in the panel schedule as they are used.

Can you post the project you are working on?

Yes, the classification is assigned in the family. I didn't see a way to assign it in the project.

Are you saying the panel schedule load summary will show as many rows as there are load classifications in the project (from families, or from the electrical settings)? I was hoping it would only show rows for actual classes connected to that panel.

My project is 170MB and it says 71MB is maximum size.

I got closer to show the load summary properly. My solution was to delete the additional rows in the schedule editor. By default ti shows 20 or so rows and I deleted all but the top row:

One wrinkle is that borders around the cells don't work if I have more than one load classification on that panel:

And yes, I tried applying the borders. Do the borders work for anyone for this? what am I missing?

I tried to remove the load summary, and the re-apply. but it now doesn't give me the 20 or so rows. I basically gives me what i had before after deleting the useless rows.

I probably should have deleted the top 19 (and not the very bottom) row. Looks like a little bug what they did, IMHO.

Sorry for the lates response - the panel schedule load classification area should only show LC's that are actually assigned. It won't include anything that doesn't have an associated circuit or value.

Don't delete the LC rows in the template - that sets the maximum number of listed load classifications. The default templates have about 10-20 in them based on the template/sample projects, but the schedule should shorten this up to only show what is used.

Yea, to me, the large size of the panel schedules on a sheet are a problem. And there doesn't seem to be any way to trim them down to the size I woudl like to see them without running into problems, like the borders not working right.

There always seems to be a ton of space at the top of the schedule too, and I've never been able to trim it down to anything reasonable.

Hello,

Go to Edit panel schedule template, and in Set template options, check Loads summary.

We already have a load summary, but we've picked specific load
classifications to appear in our schedule. I tried toggling the summary on
and off, but it keeps the changes that we made, and offers no obvious way
to bring back the dynamic listing alternative. It seems like the
Classification> option should be something you could add back from the Add
Parameter drop-down.

Sorry @fabiosato, I somehow forgot to return to this topic but it's come up again at work on a different project. Working in Revit 2026, my company is using our existing panel schedule templates that have manually filled out data at the bottom of the panel schedules. This worked well until this year. The Connected Load and Demand Load cells used to be blank if the load classifications were not used in the panel, but now they say "Not Computed". This has raised a concern that plan reviewers may ask about incomplete schedule data.

In panel view (you can see the Not Computed loads):

In editor view (you can see these are manually placed parameters, added using the Add Parameter tool):

Comparing to the new schedules in the sample project, I see we are missing the dynamic parameters in the blue cells below, which dynamically add and remove rows based on the options you mentioned in the last post. Is there any way to add the dynamic parameters (in blue below) back into our company panel schedule templates? Or will we need to rebuild all of our templates? It seems like these parameters should be available to add from the Add Parameter option on the ribbon, but I understand they don't work quite like normal parameters.

Thank you for any guidance you may have.
