The workset solution is the best solution. I'm not generally a fan of using a lot of worksets, but they have their uses and this is one of them. We've been doing it like that for years now with no problems.

Electrical Site Plans

I've looked around this and other forums, but I can't seem to find an answer to this.

I'd like to create a site plan for lighting and a few power items. To do this, I need to not see everything that is shown on the building plan. Most of these items are under the building footprint, but some are mounted to the exterior of the building.

I found several people suggesting that you change the discipline to Coordination, so that the building will hide items, but it seems this doesn't work in plan view.

The only way I can think to do this is to create a Site Plan workset and turn off all the other worksets. But I generally try to avoid using worksets for visibility.

Can anyone think of a way to do this without using worksets? Can some of you please share your best practices for electrical site plans in Revit?

Thanks.
