conduit run schedule not working

hello, I am trying to make a conduit run schedule but it is not working. I tried following the directions here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Revit-How-to-create-a-Conduit-Run-schedule.html

But it does not work. For one, it is not an actual Revit "Conduit Run Schedule" it is a Multi-category schedule.

Secondly, it claims that:

"In the schedule, you will see lines which do not have the Run Name filled out. These are the runs themselves. Select the element in the schedule, and hit Highlight in Model."

However, there are no blank lines in my schedule once I do this, not to mention there is a ton of elements that land in this schedule because it is Multi-Category schedule and I dont know what to filter out because you cant select conduit runs which is what I wanted in the first place so the "answer" Doesnt work at all. Now. I have all my shared parameters created and everything but they are not showing up right in the conduit run schedule. What am I doing wrong? Please advise. If you could make a video that would be most helpful!

Hello,

The fast way to recognize the categories in a multi-category schedule is to include the Category parameter.

Usually, in the view, if you press TAB over a conduit segment, you may toggle between the conduit and the whole group of conduits and conduit fittings that are connected, if you input the value in the parameter, in the tests I did, you change only the conduits and conduit fittings, not conduit runs.

yeah that is what i am seeing also, nothing I do seems to update the conduit runs. So what can you do?

Hello,

The only information that connects a conduit without fittings to a Conduit Runs is the parameter Comments.

Usually I fill the value in the Conduits, and then use this information on the Conduit Runs.

hello,

Ok well at least I got the conduit run lengths to populate, but how do I populated the source and destination? None of this information seems to have been transferred over to the conduit runs and it needs to be. Please see attached.

We're glad that you got part of it to work, can you upload the file to the forum so we can determine what is causing the parameters not to populate your schedule?

AFAIK, this information, from and to, is not available in OOTB Revit.
