Multiple categories in one schedule

Hello,

Is it possible to combine different catogories in one schedule.

for example:

Duct and Space schedules in one schedule. So I have the name of the room in the same row as the diameter of the duct.

You can create a multi-category schedule and use filters to include certain categories. But, and it is a big but, only common parameters (family name, type name, description, type mark, mark, comments...) and shared parameters (assigned to those categories) can be scheduled.

For duct, pipe, etc. that are system based and related more to a level than a specific area, the answer is no, you can't automatically include this. When you're adding parameters, most schedules allow you to select from the main object category (like mechanical equipment) when scheduling components and then addition sources, such as the space or project information. For example, a duct schedule allows you to select project information but not space. Other items, like mechanical equipment, air terminals, lights, etc. do include this option. We've cheated this in the past by adding a project shared parameter called Location, and adding it to all objects in the duct/pipe categories. But this is mainly due to the fact that the pipe and duct are not space specific, and actually span multiple instances in most cases.

It would be a great idea to add these objects to the Revit ideas forum, but it would be a tough add. Are you just trying to do a materials list? Is the piping part of a set of pumps and other fixtures?

We want a list with mechanical equipment in a space.

example:

level - room number - air terminal (return or supply) - count.

is that possible?

Have you tried adding the Space:Name and Space:Number parameters from "Spaces" in the drop down menu where it normally says "Duct" or whichever category is the primary category for the schedule?

Yes - Mechanical equipment schedules do include an option to include the space where the equipment is located, as long as the equipment is fully located within the space.
